The Federation of Canadian Muncipalities (FCM) offers grants for municipal environmental projects, some climate adaptation related. Loans are available to municipalities at competitive rates, and most recipients receive an additional grant of up to 15 percent of their loan amount. Municipal partners may apply for competitive, long-term financing.

All open opportunities are under the FCM’s Green Municipal Fund, which helps municipalities adopt climate solutions faster in the energy, waste, transportation, land use and water sectors. 50 and 80 percent of eligible project costs can be covered through the fund.
