EcoAction Community Funding Program supports projects which engage communities and demonstrate measurable and positive results for key environmental indicators. The funding priority in 2024 is freshwater, with projects contributing to water quality improvements through the reduction of harmful substances in the water, and/or by restoring and protecting the health of a freshwater ecosystem.

Previously funded EcoAction projects related to climate adaptation have included nature-based approaches such as the installation of rain gardens, restoring degraded riparian forests to control erosion, lower water temperatures, and reduce flooding impacts, and the promotion of green roofs to improve stormwater management.
