The Emergency Management Assistance Program (EMAP) supports First Nations communities in adapting to climate change and preparing for natural disasters, and provides funding for projects and opportunities in:
- mitigation and preparedness
- response and recovery
Funding is open to First Nations communities:
- located on a reserve or lands now part of modern treaty settlements; and
- have been impacted by an emergency event; or
- will receive direct support from the funded initiative
Deadlines vary depending on the type of funding requested.
