Learning for a Sustainable Future offers funding for students and teachers to complete climate action projects in their schools, classrooms and communities. Projects must be let by students in grades K-12, and must be climate action or sustainability focused.
Examples of previously funded projects with a focus on climate change adaptation include:
- ocean monitoring
- school community gardens, pollinator gardens, and composting projects
- restoring tallgrass in the prairies
- wetland protection
- active transportation
Projects can be funded up to $500 and applications will be assessed on a rolling basis until spring 2023 (date TBD). All projects must be completed and reported on by May 2024.
