Funded by the Nova Scotia Department of Environment and Climate Change, the Net Zero Emerging Concepts and Technologies (ECT) program will run for 3 years from 2023-2026.

ECT is intended to help Nova Scotia reach its goal of net-zero emissions by 2050, and includes support for research initiatives focused on nature-based solutions for carbon sequestration, which helps to reduce risks from extreme events (e.g., flooding, droughts) while increasing resilience to climate impacts and improving biodiversity.

Applications were due on November 29th, 2024.
