The NAPECA grant program’s call for proposals is aimed at initiatives involving, empowering, and offering long-term solutions directly impacting Indigenous communities, their health and well-being, and their ability to adapt to climate change. Examples of projects include using Traditional Ecological Knowledge to help restore impacted marine ecosystems, and strengthening communities’ food systems to be more resilient in a changing climate. Projects do not need to be implemented in Indigenous communities, but should involve partnerships and collaboration with one or more Indigenous partners.
