The Climate Change and Health Adaptation Program (CCHAP) from Indigenous Services Canada is split into two streams:

  • CCHAP North (ongoing)
  • CCHAP South of 60°N (annual, currently closed)

Impacts of extreme weather events, emergency preparedness, and traditional food security and access to country food are just some examples of previously supported projects. Through this program First Nations and Inuit communities are assisted in identifying, assessing and adapting to the health impacts on climate change.

Both streams are open to First Nations and Inuit communities and organizations, and non-governmental and volunteer organizations.

The deadline for applications for CCHAP South of 60°N stream was on September 12th, 2025. The CCHAP North stream has an ongoing intake process.
