Caitlyn’s role with CLIMAtlantic is to support projects and initiatives that build capacity, foster connection, and integrate climate adaptation with municipalities and organizations across the Atlantic provinces. Caitlyn is a fledgeling landscape architect with experience in universal, nature-based, and evidence-based design principles. They self-identify as an artistic scientist, continuingly honing skills that combine creativity and empathy with logic and procedure. Caitlyn’s passions are ignited by designing enduring landscapes at the intersection of ecology, culture, and climate. Their Master of Landscape Architecture (University of Guelph) was built on the foundation of a BSc. double major in Environmental Science and Gender & Women’s Studies (Dalhousie University). They live and work on the unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq in Sipekne’katik near Amaqapskeket (South Shore, NS). Caitlyn speaks English and French. caitlyn.weir@climatlantic.ca
