Madison has a background in urban ecology and science communication and brings her passion for working with people and protecting nature to all sectors she has worked in, including academia, government, consulting, and non-for-profit. Madison excels at building relationships, supporting connection, and knowledge sharing. She is motivated to connect with communities to learn about their needs and desires for the future to match them with suitable climate adaptation options. Madison is especially passionate about wildlife conservation and integrating nature-based solutions for adaptation so that nature and people thrive side-by-side in an ever changing world. Madison holds a Master of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science specialized in Conservation and Biodiversity from the University of Ottawa. Madison currently resides on unceded Mi’kmaw territory in Kjipuktuk (Halifax, Nova Scotia). Madison speaks English and French (advanced). madison.marshall@climatlantic.ca
