The project involved the purchase, installation, and monitoring of up to 40,000 artificial reef units across multiple coastal sites. The artificial reefs consist of rectangular concrete blocks with openings designed to provide colonization space for benthic species such as lobsters, mussels, and algae. Approximately 90,000 lobster larvae were released to support population establishment.
