Canaan-Washademoak Watershed (expanding buffers)

The study evaluated the opportunity costs of implementing riparian buffer policies. Scenario analyzed: expanding riparian buffers from 30 to 60m. Average opportunity costs were calculated for forested lands using a wood supply model, agricultural land costs based on reported regional rental values, and residential land from assessed property values.
