Ashley is supporting CLIMAtlantic in various ways. She enjoys making science accessible and engaging, and working with people to help their communities adapt to climate change. She values combining evidence-based Western science with traditional/place-based knowledge to make informed decisions.
Ashley has a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in environmental science from Memorial University. She has worked as an environmental scientist, environmental monitoring technician, and as a conservation biologist.
She lives in the Bay of Islands, Newfoundland on traditional Mi’kmaw lands and acknowledges the histories of all indigenous peoples – Beothuk, Innu, Inuit and Mi’kmaq – in Newfoundland and Labrador. Ashley speaks English.
