Beach nourishment project to protect a major roadway against coastal erosion and flooding. Total cost of a beach nourishment project over 2.4km (elevation between 2.50 and 4.30 metres, depending on location; approximately 460,000 tonnes of material), including work on drainage outfalls and landscaping of certain parts of the beach. Construction of the project was managed by the Municipality, which received financial assistance through the Government of Québec.
