The project combines two coastal protection approaches to protect a roadway vulnerable to erosion: the installation of geotextile tubes and beach nourishment (120,000 cubic metres of sand to rebuild the beach, a height ranging from 1 to 3 metres, and a width of up to 50 metres). Dune vegetation is also established to stabilize the restored beach.
