Cost analysis of a stream daylighting project for a culverted, human-disturbed reach. The proposed design removes the culvert and restores the natural drainage pathway using a vegetated channel supported by geotextiles. The costing of the design includes mobilization (transport of equipment and material), removal of culvert, routing of channel, landscaping/vegetation (trees, topsoil, grass, shoreline vegetation, geotextiles), cut/fill and assume a crew of 6 workers, billed at $50/hr.
