Mahone Bay Lighthouse Route

A low-lying roadway that runs along an exposed section of shoreline, with limited riprap currently providing partial protection against coastal erosion. The conceptual budget for a living shoreline concept consists of a hybrid design with a crest elevation of 3.2 m, incorporating nearshore rock-armour breakwaters, coarse sand to form pocket beaches and salt marsh creation for wave energy attenuation while also providing potential recreational opportunities.
