Led by the Ocean Frontier Institute and Dalhousie University, the Community Climate Adaptation Fund supports researchers in carrying out innovative research-community engagement within the realms of ocean, community, and climate adaptation. Successful projects will prioritize inclusion of community knowledge systems and lived experiences, creation of leadership opportunities for graduate students and community members, support to climate-vulnerable communities, and advancement of social/commercial innovation.

Eligible applicants from the Atlantic region include faculty, staff, technicians, students, and postdoctoral fellows from Dalhousie University, UNB, UPEI, and MUNL.

Applications are open until all funding is allocated. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with the following review periods:

– April 4, 2025
– September 15, 2025
– January 15, 2026
