The Indigenous Capacity Support Program provides funding to support and increase the capacity of Indigenous communities participating in current or future federal impact, environmental, regional, or strategic assessments, and/or associated follow-up activities. Applications are open for Stream 3 – Strategic Opportunities which provides short-term funds to Indigenous communities currently or anticipating taking part in assessments and experiencing capacity gaps. Examples of eligible activities for this stream related to adaptation include providing youth internships related to federal assessments, and developing methodologies for community-led studies or assessments.
